The second and third grade students worked on a K-W-L chart before they read the text in the LLI series, “All About Honeybees.” Students filled in the K by writing what they know or what think they know about honeybees.

Then they completed the W by writing what they want to know about honeybees.  Students then read the text and completed the L on the chart.

Then they completed the W by writing what they want to know about honeybees.  Students then read the text and completed the L on the chart.  This gave them the opportunity to share what they had learned.  They discovered that honeybees are very interesting!
